ABU DHABI INVITATIONAL RAISES $14 000
FOR EMIRATES RED CRESCENT

30 January 2016

Players in today's Abu Dhabi Invitational Amateur Championship helped raise $14 000 for the Emirates Red Crescent.

Each par three birdie - and there were 14 in total on the day - earned the charity a kind donation of $1000 from competitor Silas Chou.

The eighth and 17th holes saw the most birdies during the individual stableford competition. Those to register a two-club included Emma Cabrera-Bello and David Horsey (both professionals practicing ahead of tomorrow's pro-am), as well as Ukrainian football great Andriy Shevchenko.

Anybody carding a hole-in-one on the fourth, eighth or 13th on Sunday will have a chance to drive away in a Bentley. An ace at the seventeenth will earn the golfer an all-expenses trip for four to the Maldives.
